Like anything else, Hookah smoking etiquette depends on the group your with.  But here are a few general guidelines:

– Only one person should be taking a drag at a time.

– Plug the hose when you’re not taking a drag to keep the seal for other people to smoke.

– Use a plastic cover for your tube if you are sick (and the hose is being passed).  This is also known as a “hookah condom.”

– If hoses are being passed around, don’t hog.

– Pass the hose if you’ve got a long story to tell.
